Throughout the Yorkshire Dales and Harrogate area there are a large number of talented artists and skilled crafts people. The inspiration of the beautiful and distinctive landscape helps create unique pieces of work.
Annually there is an 'Open Studios' event highlighting the work of over 100 artists throughout North Yorkshire. Anyone can go and visit the artist in their workplace whether that be there home, studio or garden.
Farfield Mill in Sedbergh has a number of artists in residence who produce their exceptional work which is then available for sale. Throughout the area there are craft workshops which host a number of workshops with artists producing their work and open for visitors. Both the King Street Studios in Pateley Bridge and the Dales Centre in Reeth hosts a selection of talented crafts people.
