HERITAGE

Beautiful abbeys, castles standing alongside magnificent industrial heritage all set in a spectaular landscape.

MANMADE WONDERS

Great abbeys once immensely powerful, now stand in silent ruins.  Spectacular castles and elegant stately homes impose on the views if the beautiful Dales and Harrogate.  Oncy busy productive mills now stand still and the canals are used for pleasure, no longer busy transport routes.

There is so much to see and do throughout the whole area.  For the lovers of industrial heritage we have Langcliffe Kiln, one of the largest and best preserved lime kilns in England.  Gayle Mill, an old cotton mill has been fully renovated to become the latest heritage attraction in the area.

You can visit one of the many castles that are scattered throughout the area.  Skipton, Richmond, Middleham and Knaresborough all have castles that are worth a visit.
