NIDDERDALE AONB

One of Britains finest landscapes

UNSPOILT BEAUTY

The Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty was established in 1994 when the special quality of the landscape was formally recognised.

The AONB covers 233 square miles (603 square kilometres) and shares a boundary with the Yorkshire Dales National Park.  The varied habitat supports a range of flora and fauna of national and international importance.  The landscape is dramatic and contrasting, with wide open and remote moorlands, sheltered river valleys and rolling farmlands.

Take time to discover and explore the AONB.
