The Yorkshire Dales and Harrogate are a very special area and has a level of distinctiveness that we do not want to lose. Whilst we welcome all visitors we also ask that they are responsible visitors and try to adhere to the following principles.
Where ever possible give your car a holiday. Once you are in the area park up and use the public transport to explore.
Support the local community and shop locally. You can buy a vast array of local produce throughout the area so why not visit some of the local markets and individual shops and experience true Yorkshire food and drink.
Respect the area and help us to protect the landscape and wildlife by taking all litter home, keeping to footpaths and keeping dogs on a lead.
Finally, if you are staying over night please conserve energy and reduce water usage when ever possible.
