Settle

A delightful market town surrounded by stunning scenery.

WHERE IS BEST FOR ME?

This delightful market town in Ribblesdale is surrounded by stunning scenery and features quaint historic buildings.  There is a wealth of walks, a lively open-air market every Tuesday, a large variety of speciality shops, plenty of places to stay and some tempting tearooms, pubs and restaurants.

Settle marks the start of the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway - one of the country’s most loved railways and a fantastic way to explore the Southern and Western Dales without a car!

The town has its own theatre - The Victoria Hall, a restored Grade 2 listed Music Hall, which retains many of its original features.

Settle also hosts a number of events throughout the year, and is ideally located to explore the unspoilt countryside within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland AONB. The peaceful village of Giggleswick lies just across the River Ribble with its 17th century cottages.
