This delightful market town in Ribblesdale is surrounded by stunning scenery and features quaint historic buildings. There is a wealth of walks, a lively open-air market every Tuesday, a large variety of speciality shops, plenty of places to stay and some tempting tearooms, pubs and restaurants.
Settle marks the start of the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway - one of the country’s most loved railways and a fantastic way to explore the Southern and Western Dales without a car!
The town has its own theatre - The Victoria Hall, a restored Grade 2 listed Music Hall, which retains many of its original features.
Settle also hosts a number of events throughout the year, and is ideally located to explore the unspoilt countryside within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland AONB . The peaceful village of Giggleswick lies just across the River Ribble with its 17th century cottages.
