OUTDOORS

There is no where better for fresh air and adventure. The landscape is perfect for exploring both on foot and by bike.

FRESH AIR IS GUARANTEED.

The Yorkshire Dales isn’t just a place to see it’s also a place to do! Hill walkers, mountain bikers, cyclists, horse riders and fell runners can all take advantage of specially designed trails through our striking and varied scenery.

Cycling and Mountain Biking are popular ways to discover the Yorkshire Dales and Harrogate area. Cyclists can explore the winding country lanes whereas mountain bikers can journey into the heart of the countryside on one of the many trails, footpaths and bridleways. Why not enjoy the views of the glorious Dales by taking part in self-guided day bike rides or even two to three day tours.

For the braver souls, there is mystery and adventure in deep, dark caves and seldom explored potholes, or the sense of achievement after scaling a towering craggy cliff face.

If you want to take your thrill seeking a little further, qualified and experienced local instructors are available to guide you through a range of activities. Climbing, caving, walking, canoeing or a combination of activities can be undertaken, enabling you to experience the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and Harrogate area from an entirely different perspective.

If you just love the area as much as we do why not keep coming back for a fresh new experience.  2008 is the Year of Adventure in North Yorkshire and there is a different activity for each week of the year.  To become involved visit the Year of Adventure website.
